SJ Helpline Services offers on line facilities through this website for people involved in providing helplines to come together to share information, discuss experiences, learn more and improve their skills and the skills of people they are responsible for. We do this by providing a Comms Hub, a Knowledge Hub and a Training Hub specifically for those involved in helpline provision and contact centres in the UK.
SJ Helplines Services is a Community Interest Company, Registration No 7599090. Our registered office is at Unit 1, The Old Sawmill, Shawbridge Street, Clitheroe, BB7 1LY. SJ Helpline Services respects your privacy and takes the security of any information we ask you for and hold, very seriously. You can contact the controller of data by writing to this address or by email using the Contact Us tab on the Website at any time. We will aim to reply to you within 5 working days.
Registering on the site:
We ask people who wish to have access to all the posted material and
contribute to the material on the website in the Comms Hub to register with the
site. We ask only for name, name of the helpline you represent and an
email address to contact you and verify who you are. We ask for this
information to ensure that only people genuinely connected with helpline
delivery are contributing to the site materials. Only your first name, or an
avatar if you prefer, will show on the site.
We also ask to be able to inform you of developments on the site which you
might be interested in. You can opt out of this at any time.
We will keep this information for 2 years and then contact you to ask if you wish to continue your registration. Collection of this data is part of our legitimate business interest, to ensure that only those for whom this site is created and maintained access and participate in it.
The servers this information is stored on are based in the UK.
Registering for training:
When payment is made our payment processing partners will have details provided by yourself regarding the transaction. This is held in accordance with their own privacy policy.
FACE TO FACE TRAINING
We ask for additional information when people register for, or are registered for face to face training. We ask for Name, Name of Helpline, email address so that information can be provided before and after the training, and for information relating to any special requirements in terms of learning aids, dietary requirements, special needs. This is so we can ensure that everyone’s needs are met to the best of our ability during the training delivery. We ask for a phone number so that contact can be made on or near the day if necessary because of some unexpected circumstance affecting the training delivery.
Data collected by ourselves is stored on our secure servers located in the UK. This data is not shared with third parties with the exception of the payment processor company if electronic payment is made for courses.
We will keep details of your name, the courses you enrolled upon, whether you completed them, when your certificates were issues, for 5 years from the date of enrolment.

We retain the right to email you from time to time with further information about developments on the website. You have the right to opt out of this at any time by either signifying your wishes at the time of registration or by emailing us with instructions via the Contact Us form. This will be attended to within 5 working days.
Privacy of Children
We strongly believe in protecting the privacy of children. In line with this belief, we do not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from persons under 13 years of age, and no part of the Website is directed to persons under 13 years of age. If you are under 13 years of age, then please do not use or access the Website at any time or in any manner. We will take appropriate steps to delete any personal information of persons less than 13 years of age.
