The Course will cover
- Exploring the range of helplines represented, their roles, similarities and challenges.
- Considering our motivations for helpline work, and callers’ expectations
- Exploring the process of the call in detail
Practical call handling techniques. - Ending the call – what happens afterwards
- Considering the implications of confidentiality, safeguarding and note taking/ recording
