Working with the callers we may dread! Those who are angry, aggressive, suicidal, argumentative and seasoned complainers as well those who want to do more than talk to a helpline!
The Course will cover
- Establishing with the group the key challenges they encounter
- Working on new techniques to handle these situations; developing a toolkit to take away
- Having an understanding of vicarious trauma
- Keeping within service and professional boundaries
- Taking care of ourselves after these types of calls
